Great Binder
I am very pleased with this binder. What most impresses me is the ease of opening and closing the rings. I've never had a binder that opened so easily. That's a perk with those of us who has arthritis, carpal tunnel or other medical problems. I like that it has 4 inside inserts. I love the insert on the cover, front and back. It's PVC free (hurrah it’s less susceptible to cracking)... I'm just all around pleased with this binder.

Review: Avery Heavy Duty Ring Reference Binder, Note Tabs & Binder Spine Inserts
Grandma Bonnie's Closet has been given the opportunity to review an Avery Heavy Duty Ring Reference Binder, Avery Custom Binder Spine Inserts, and Avery Note Tabs from Shoplet.com. Anyone needing office supplies should check out Shoplet.com for their convince and great selection. I received the package yesterday and immediately opened the box. My first impression "oh, great heavy duty! This will be great for my son." You see my son is a junior in college and he is a very organized person that would love to try this new heavy duty binder. Next, I noticed the package insert said, "ONE TOUCH EZD" hmm I found that this means the rings open and close with one touch!! I tried the one touch mechanism multiple times. I have had my fingers pinched numerous times in the past from hard to close ring binders and I wanted to be sure this was not going to happen with the one touch claim right on the label. My fingers are still intact and happy! What do I like about the product? 1. It's easily opened and closed with one touch.2. It's PVC Free.3. It's Green. (made from 80% post-consumer waste)4. It has four pockets instead of the standard two.5. It's an Official Box Top Education Brand.What I do not like about the product. 1. It's to large for my needs. (It has a 400 sheet capacity.) Although it would be great for most students.

Another safe bet!
Avery's products are always top notch! They don't go wrong with this sturdy binder. The rings go together nicely, as well (verses some that you know will get skewed once the binder fills up). And the price is great!

Love the Heavy Duty Binder
The Avery Heavy Duty Ring Reference Binder is a three ring binder that has a revolutionary One Touch mechanism that allows me to open, close, and lock my new binder in one easy step without hurting my finger. The Gap Free feature prevents my pages from becoming misaligned so my pages turn smoothly, making it easier for me to find what I'm looking for. The EZD ring allows this binder to hold 40-50% more paper than the traditional round ring binder of the same size. I love that there are pockets on the inside that can hold additional things such as paper, note pads, business cards, etc. There is a pocket on the spine for insertion of a binder label and there are also pockets on the outside, front and back, for insertion of a piece of paper, such as in my case some of my son's artwork, which makes my binder unique and stand out in a crowd. You could also customize this binder with photographs. The binder seems to be very durable overall. This binder is PVC free and the chipboard is made out of 100% recycled material.

Heavy-Duty Long Lasting Binder
The binder feels sturdy and it is certainly heavy duty. With most binders, they feel flimsy and I always have concerns that the edges would tear easily but this ring binder is high quality and it can handle being shoved in and pulled out of a backpack in a rush, which would inevitably destroy the edges of most binders - the heavy duty cover will last much longer. The One Touch EZD locking rings really do open with ease! One finger on the little rubber button pops them open with very little effort, and when it snaps back shut, it’s not loud and terrifying, and closing them is just as easy - just closing the little button - I wasn’t worried about catching my fingers in the rings! Avery says this 1.5” binder can hold up to 50% more pages than the same-size of round rings - so approximately 400 pages. I don’t have 400 pages hole punched available to stuff in here, so I put what I had - including plastic sheet protectors and dividers. Everything fits with ease. The design of the rings really does lend itself to holding more paper, and still being easy to close because of the added flap on the lid. The Gap Free feature of the rings helps prevent that most-hated space that develops from opening and closing repeatedly (or being sat on), where papers slip through and get ruined. Speaking of papers and rings, it’s a joy to turn pages in this ring binder. The action is so smooth, there’s no catching or struggling to align the pages in the rings. It’s easy peasy. By the way, I am thrilled that the chipboard is made of 100% recycled content and the plastic is PVC free (it also doesn’t smell funny, like plastic sometimes does). The plastic is also non-stick and archival safe so if you put something really important in the pockets or cover, it’s not going to get lifted off by the plastic pressing on it.The spine has a plastic slot as well where you can pop in an Avery Custom Binder Spine Inserts for labelling. This is a wonderful feature for those of us who like to be tidy and organized.
